About the Quantity Surveyor / Fund Monitor Role
A national Consultancy with over 50 years of experience within the Construction Industry is looking for a Fund / Bank Monitor from a Quantity Surveyor background to join their Monitoring team in London.
The role requires a Fund Monitor / Quantity Surveyor who has the ability to carry out development monitoring/fund monitoring and due diligence services to Banking clients. Current Monitoring projects range from £500k to upwards of £50M across different sectors. As the Quantity Surveyor you will have a practical and thorough knowledge of the construction process.
The successful Fund Monitor / Quantity Surveyor will need to be self motivated and able to work independently and as part of a small team. The Fund Monitor role is predominantly based in London but you will be required to travel to sites and may have to work from other regional offices from time to time.
The successful Quantity Surveyor / Fund Monitor must be able to work using their initiative to provide professional and accurate advice directly to the Client. You will be adept at report writing. Parameters should be clearly set to support effective delivery of operations at a profit and a healthy relationship should be established and maintained with the Client. You will be passionate, flexible, articulate and concise.
Success in this role will require a Quantity Surveyor / Fund Monitor to possess the following attributes:
* Must be from a PQS/Consultancy background
* Be adaptable at building relationships and act as a team player.
* The ability to draft reports with excellent client presentation skills and IT capabilities
* A good understanding of costs associated with construction and development procurement (i.e. planning, building control, statutory bodies and contract types).
Salary for the Fund Monitor / Quantity Surveyor
Circa £55,000 - £65,000 plus benefits
