We are recruiting for a mobile maintenance electrician to join a highly prestigious healthcare company in the Sheffield area. The electrical engineer will be involved in the planned and reactive maintenance to all electrical building services plant. The role is a permanent position paying up to 28k based on a 37.5 hour week (OT above this). Package will include health care, vehicle and overtime etc.|
The provision of Routine and Specialised Engineering Maintenance and breakdown
Provide competent Technical, Health, Safety and Environmental support & assistance.
Provide assistance to Site based Senior Engineering Technicians and Engineering Technicians and assistants in carrying out their role
Support the Local manager and Senior Engineering Technicians in their day to day duties.
To provide scheduled visits to site under the Planned Preventative maintenance routine and breakdown assistance
Plus to carry out specialist tasks which may include:
Catering equipment Maintenance
HVAC and BMS maintenance
Travel to cover the South Yorkshire, West Yorkshire and on occasion East Yorkshire sites.
Decontamination Equipment weekly validation
Fire Risk Assessment and periodic testing
Water Risk Assessment and L8 tasks
DDA Assessment and fabric repairs
Electrical maintenance and repairs including PAT
Plumbing and drainage maintenance and repairs.
Undertake the Engineering Planned Preventative Maintenance Routine as detailed in the Standard operating Procedure manuals. The level of undertaking will be based on the competency level established on each site.
Respond to reactive calls issued within Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Ensure all remedial tasks issued following Statutory Insurance Inspections are undertaken as instructed
Escalate reactive calls which require specialist involvement to resolve
Provide supplementary Engineering support to sites as required
Ensure that equipment is working effectively and maintaining Health & Safety requirements
Respond effectively and timely to ad-hoc customer requirements
Provide advice on technical and compliance issues affecting the site to Local managers
Provide technical input as required on equipment purchase
Provide input, advice and support of Policies & Procedures
Ensure all Corporate led Engineering initiatives are implemented within remit
Feed-back on findings to enable a continuous improvements of planned Maintenance & Maintenance Techniques working towards a condition based maintenance regime
Provide feedback and direction on the Standard Maintenance Manual to Local managers
Provide advice and support on Health and Safety along with maintenance, testing and assisting in delivering the practical element of Fire systems training
Carry out Portable Appliance Testing (PAT Testing) as required for all portable equipment used throughout the hospital at intervals defined by both policy and Risk assessment
Knowledge / Skills / Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years, experience in a Maintenance Environment post apprenticeship or qualification gained. Experience in working under own initiative is required.
City & Guilds Part 3, HNC, NVQ Level 4 or equivalent preferably in Electrical Engineering essential (with 17th edition)
Qualification or ability to work towards specialised Engineering discipline
Time served apprenticeship in a Mechanical or Electrical biased discipline essential
Fire safety or Fire Risk Assessment training desirable
Valid driving license
