Mechanical Construction Manager is required to work for a major research laboratory in Cambridge. With M&E value of approximately £150m. You will be reporting into an operations manager.

Some duties include:

1. Make supervisors and operatives aware of programme requirements; short term when particular tasks need to be completed. Complete two week look ahead.
2. Ensure method statements are in place for the activities being undertaken and all operatives have understood and signed the method statement acceptance register.
3. Manage, hold and issue to our client site specific tool box talks weekly with the operatives working for the Sub-Contractors Monitor the cost of labour against the Labour target plan for the project.

1 Regularly communicate with the Project Surveyor / site management team.
2 Complete and issue to QHSE department the weekly returns documents & return to work interviews / operative reviews.
3 Manage our sub-contractors (can be via their supervisors) to ensure that they have the correct amount of properly trained operatives on site to meet the programme demands.
7. Manage testing file, manage electrical testers, mechanical commissioning engineers.
4 Arrange testing witness attendance & sign off of testing paperwork.
5 Issue testing paper to client.
