Our client seeks a Training Manager / Trainer with any eLearning asset design and delivery. Ideally someone who has delivered client training, particularly on software (not just Microsoft products) and has designed and delivered eLearning training assets.
As part of making the our client's service scalable and sustainable the client needs to establish a training function, focussed on training and developing its client staff and their own - integrating this function into the Project Delivery team structure.
This will be a commercial function with key revenue sources identified as follows:
Client user training
Train the trainer for relevant client staff i.e. Planner Supervisors or Engineer Managers
New starter system familiarisation and induction
Client specific training materials to support their in-house trainer(s)
This training can be delivered on site, online e.g. on You Tube site and in the client's 'Academy' facility. In addition to developing and providing training for clients, this function will also train internal staff to build and use systems, supporting the development of the Project Delivery and Service Desk teams.
Job Description: Training Manager
General Scope & Purpose:
Enable the rapid understanding and effective use of client's products and services through the creation and delivery of appropriate interactive training assets with an eLearning focus, relevant to both clients and client's team members.
Liaise closely with both Project Delivery and Development teams to capture the detail of the developed and developing client systems.
Identify common actions across the systems so that a standard set of training assets can be produced.
Identify client centric actions on the systems so that client specific training assets can be produced.
Identify training needs and design, build and deliver training assets relevant to the needs of each target user group.
Liaise with the Service Desk team to identify requests which highlight a training need and develop assets to address the need, resulting in reduced support call volumes.
Develop training assets and deliver training for internal users enabling new team members to rapidly learn how to build systems for clients.
Deliver on site client training when required.
Working with relevant team members to develop and deliver the model for the in house training "Academy" delivering commercially viable training and user certification services for clients.
Define, monitor and report on measures to assess outcomes.
Develop and deliver other training as required.
Ensure all assets produced meet company brand standards.
Maintain a keen understanding of training trends, developments and best practices.
Keep abreast and adhere to all policies, procedures and authorisations as found and detailed on the Company Intranet and to maintain correct written policies for current processes in accordance to your role, where applicable, conduct audit reviews as and when required by the company.
Good education min 2:1 degree in a business or technical related subject or other strong educational background min 2 years work experience in a relevant role.
