Database Administrator - MongoDB DBA|
Established and respected hospitality client is recruiting a hands-on technical database administrator with significant practical experience with MongoDB Server performance monitoring, tuning, implementation and optimisation.
The role requires experience with MongoDB and be able to demonstrate outstanding hands on MongoDB design, implementation and support skills, combined with drive to take the lead for their journey into MongoDB. Working as part of the wider DBA team and company Network the role will undertake training to extend skills into MS SQL within 6 months, while transferring MongoDB skills to others. We are looking for a candidate who is imaginative, energetic and willing to work as part of a DevOps team.
As Database administrator responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for Database Management Systems (DBMS) support that maintains the operational integrity of systems/technologies located in datacentres and worldwide Global Data Centres on a 24x7 basis. Perform daily tasks within the scope of the role including but not limited to, health checks, routine maintenance, review patch/maintenance levels on various operating systems and physical servers, update and create documentation and proactively support the infrastructure in production and non-production environments
- Provide and coordinate level 2 and 3 problem and incident response support for the enterprise production and non-production environments.
- From time-to-time this role will be asked to run small projects or components of projects and ensure success. In other situations, this person will serve as an individual contributor within a broader project team.
