As an IT Support Assistant you will use your expertise to manage in house customer technical support issues and provide remote support to field based employees and international offices. Ensure customers are provided with a high level of support and using your initiative, you will develop solutions to meet new customer requirements.
Experience of providing technical support in a multi-site Microsoft Windows Domain environment. With your strong organisational skills,
Have an excellent attention to detail and the ability to multitask, prioritise and meet deadlines under pressure.
Strong Windows operating systems technical understanding.
Good understanding of Windows domains and Active Directory
Personal passion in computers e.g. experience of building PCs at home
Understanding of TCP/IP Networks, Firewalls, Patching, DNS
Desirable skills: - will be trained if you do not have these skills currently
Good understanding of Windows Server 2008 and 2012 R2
Understanding of Backup Systems
Advanced Networking skills VPN, VLANS, ISCSI, VOIP
Linux command line skills
SQL Skills and Report writing
Scripting skills in VBscript, PowerShell or C#
Thin Clients and RDS
