Due to retirement our Client is looking for an Assistant Engineering Manager who shall assist with the responsibility for the engineering function, ensuring that internal customer's maintenance requests and demands are carried out. The Assistant Engineering Manager will receive a salary of £30,000 to £35,000 and a various Company Benefits.|

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
To manage / maintain / monitor and improve upon the Key Performance Indicators and standards expected.
To review and assess to make recommendations for effective and efficient practice of the maintenance and fault repairs carried out, the lost time reports, breakdown reports, operating reports, time sheets, cost justification reports etc.
To manage the engineering budget within the specifications and consistently achieve the required expectations, searching to improve upon these regularly.
To communicate with the production Supervisor / representative who report issues and keep them informed of progress throughout where it is apparent your Management experience would help.
Understanding of the different product specifications required by the customer for products that are moulded or produced through any engineering machinery within the factory.
Understand the set up requirements for each piece of machinery within the factory.
Understand the pinnacle role of the Engineering team and ensure you support the production / warehouse / stores teams by providing a professional service at all times
Understand and apply the policy and procedures for health and safety for all pieces of machinery within the factory
Understand and apply through exemplary example, excellent food safety and personal hygiene within the factory at all times
Skilled & Experience:
Relevant Engineering Management or Supervisory position is essential as well as hands on experience is required.
Recognised Engineering qualification (HNC/HND), preferably through an apprenticeship
Good mechanical experience
