To test, diagnose and repair to component level, customer field returned units. To have the skill and ability to reverse engineer new products from customer field returns. To work with the Engineering department to resolve technical issues as and when required. To be a technical lead for new products in training and problem solving. Ability to use advanced automatic and manual test systems to confirm and diagnose field reported faults. To accurately record repair details and to actively participate in department projects to achieve goals for cycle time reduction, test and process improvement and reduction of no fault founds.

Duties and Responsibilities

 Testing to relevant procedures and specifications using the relevant customer software and field configuration.
 Component level diagnosis of customer field returned units.
 Re-configure hardware/software to manually test products as necessary.
 Revise test procedures and documentation to reflect improvements.
 Write new test procedures and documentation on reverse engineered products.
 Prompt identification of problems regarding process, quality and performance.
 Provide constructive feedback and work with Engineering and Management on technical and quality issues.
 Practical knowledge and ability to use all test equipment in department.
 Practical knowledge of product ATE and describe using block diagrams the key functions of tests
 Provide cross training and support to other technical staff.
 Perform maintenance and calibration checks on test systems.
 Must be prepared to undertake some overseas travel as required

Skills And Experience Required

 Electronics Degree or equivalent industry recognised qualification or a proven track record of repair experience in the Electronics Industry


 Flexibilty to work shifts when required is desirable
 Available for overtime if required
 The ability to work away/offsite if required is desirable
 Will be working as part of a team, therefore must be a team player
 Must have a good command, both verbal and written
