Your new company
Your new company is a tier 1 automotive component manufacturer that supply to one of the biggest car manufacturers on a 'just in time' basis. The company have global presence and are one of the biggest in the industry with massive turnover.
Your new role
You will be working a shift pattern in order to maintain process machinery. This will be done on a reactive or planned basis. The site is heavily automated with Siemens S7 which will require you to fault find and interrogate. As this site is a 'JIT' site time is crucial so you need to be energetic, quick thinking and have the ability to solve problems. The site follows the same shift pattern as the OEM that it supplies so you will work a 4 day week (Monday to Thursday) alternating each week from days to nights. There is occasional preventative maintenance carried out on Friday mornings which would require your involvement.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have been an electrically biased engineer within a manufacturing site. This would ideally be automotive sector but we will also consider from FMCG backgrounds too as a lot of skills will be transferable. You will need to qualified ideally to HNC level and hold a 17th edition. Some experience with Siemens PLC systems will be required in order for you to carry out the role effectively.
