Job Title: Commercial Gas Engineer

Location: Mobile role covering East Anglia & East Midlands; Peterborough, Cambridge, Kettering, Northampton, etc.

Salary: £27,500 - £32,000 + van (personal usage available), overtime, call-out rota.

The Role

The Commercial Gas Engineer will be responsible for providing service, maintenance, breakdown and repair work across public service and commercial buildings across East Anglia and the East Midlands.

The majority of gas work will consist of commercial systems, however there can be occasional work on domestic systems on smaller sites. There will also be pipework and plumbing involved in this position on a regular basis.

There may also be occasions where the successful Engineer is asked to perform general building fabric maintenance whilst on site, which may include (but is not limited to) basic electrical, wet plumbing, general basic mechanical and basic joinery work.

The Ideal Candidate


* Full complement of commercial gas (ACS) qualifications: COCN1 / CODNCO1, CIGA1, CORT1, CDGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1 / TPCP1A
* Have worked for a gas company or Building Services company.
* Strong experience of service, maintenance, breakdown and repair work on commercial gas systems
* Strong plumbing and pipework skills
* Be able and willing to perform various building maintenance including basic electrical, basic mechanical, joinery and general fabric work
* At least 5 years post-apprenticeship experience


* OFTEC, F-GAS, 17th Edition and COMCAT qualifications are all desirable
* Plumbing qualification (C&G, NVQ)
* Additional building services related trade qualifications
* Additional tickets such as First Aid at Work, IPAF, PASMA, Asbestos Awareness

They have built a superb reputation across the East and West Midlands and now due to a period of sustained growth they are looking to employ a committed and experienced Commercial Gas Engineer to add the their successful team.
This company have over 300 members of staff and have recently won multiple large contracts that require a larger team of talented engineers.
