My client is an innovative, education and digital content management software company and is currently looking to recruit a Manufacturing/Maintenance Engineer to manage daily operations, introduce new machinery and manage projects involved in delivering products and services and changing the way digital content is delivered worldwide.
The purpose of the role is to provide overall management and support to maintenance personnel, introduce new machinery, develop training plans and oversee training, work on various projects, have an input into Health & Safety and maintain the inventory and associated budget management. As well as being a strategic role you are expected to be very hands on and get involved in ensuring all shifts are fully briefed with relevant information. The remit of the role will be to become the interface between the production teams and the Manufacturing Manager and you will have an all-encompassing view of whole site from a facilities point of view.
It is essential that you are an all-round engineer with both electrical and mechanical skills and that you have a good knowledge and experience of the digital print sector ideally but at least have worked in an environment where you have been involved in the repair and maintenance of large plant equipment used for manufacturing. Successful candidates must also have sound project management skills and be used to multi-tasking and managing several projects at one time in an environment with ever changing priorities. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a hands on and strategic role simultaneously will be crucial to your success.
Salary up to £40k basic, plus a performance related company bonus of up to 10% of salary and other excellent benefits.
