Komplete Group are working alongside a large Rail organisation who are looking to recruit an experienced Fleet Planning Engineer to work from their East London base. |
Working in the Fleet Planning team, your role will largely consist of leading and owning the building and communication of the robust strategic fleet plans to facilitate all work on trains whilst ensuring that rolling stock availability is kept at a level to meet the requirements of the passenger train service. Planning will be second nature to you as developing input plans, disaster recovery plans, maintaining contingency plans, and lists of work as well as forward strategic planning will be an essential part of your role.
You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and continued operation of the fleet of trains as required by the operating timetable, whilst ensuring all maintenance obligations are fulfilled. You will provide and develop opportunities enabling appropriate succession planning.
• Familiar with modern Traction and Rolling Stock systems.
• Experience of managing risk in an appropriate and balanced way.
• Qualified at a senior level in an Engineering discipline, ideally a Chartered Engineer, minimum degree level in engineering subject or with a numeric/analytical component.
• Experienced at managing complex teams.
• At least 5 years rail experience in an engineering environment.
In order to be considered for the role, you must have an industry recognised qualification, alongside experience within a similar previous role.
