General Manager - £50,000 - £55,000 plus bonus - Buckinghamshire|

As General Manager over the Buckinghamshire area you will be responsible for managing the delivery of multi-million pound budgets and ensure the delivery of the corporate strategic vision. The General Manager will also motivate and develop all staff who work to achieve business objectives and targets and maintain the status which our client has gained in the industry.
Ensuring that a properly staffed team is in place and having a competent management team whilst identifying, nominating and recognising talent is paramount in this role.
As General Manager you will lead the management and development of the people within the depots, operations, engineering, commercial and stakeholder management structure, ensuring that all legal and regulatory standards are met and maintained.
The level of success needed by the General Manager in this role will be achieved by a commitment to train and develop staff, who are dedicated to provide customers with a safe, reliable and punctual service.
As General Manager you will also oversee all aspects of H&S are adhered to at all times and lead by example whilst promoting a proactive approach within the workforce. The General Manager should evidence a commercial edge coupled with operational responsibility and ensure all legal and regulatory standards are met and maintained, whilst following compliance of operations within the UK regulations
The ideal General Manager will be a strong strategic and operational professional and have the ability to man manage people and drive performance.
Knowledge of HSE / IMS policy
Be experienced in supply chain management
Have a Logistics and Transport background
Deal with P+L
As General Manager you will be entitled to 25 days plus statutory, company car, pension scheme and bonus
