They are now seeking applicants for the following roles to work on a permanent basis.
Position X3: Assistant Quality Manager (M&E Rail Sector)
Assistant Quality Manager (Traction Power Rail)
Assistant Quality Manager (OHLE Rail)
Location: London SE1 & E14
Target: The Quality Manager (AQM) will be accountable for providing an independent view of ATCs legal and contractual compliance and product quality conformity within the scope of the Traction Power & OHLE works.
Rewards: Up to £50K DOE, Plus Benefits.
Requirements: We will design, install, test and commission the 25kV Traction Power, 25kV-0-25kV AC OHLE and traction earthing and bonding and traction return current distribution systems for the central (tunneled) section of Crossrail, which will be maintained by Rail for London, a subsidiary of TfL. The systems comprise various Auto-Transformer stations (C644) and OHLE (C610) comprising approx. 42km Rigid Overhead Conductor within the tunnels and a small quantity of auto-tensioned Overhead Catenary System in the open route.
Review subcontractor and supplier project-specific Quality Plans
Verify traction power & OHLE ITP Schedule is maintained
Review Traction power & OHLE ITPs prior to submission for acceptance liaising with the M&E package team
Monitor and verify the production team quality control activities for Traction Power & OHLE systems in line with intervention points identified on ITPs
Develop and maintain a site surveillance schedule to monitor installation activities
Undertake audit to maintain the programme of quality audits on the project verifying compliance with legal and contractual requirements
Ensure Traction power & OHLE Suppliers & Subcontractor QMS system is ISO9001:2008 & guidelines for quality plans ISO 10005:2005 or equivalent is compliant
Identify & Assure Traction power & OHLE Supplier QA documents submission - Contractor Project Quality Plan, ITP, CoC, Sample & Benchmark, FAI, FATs, Prototypes, Method Statements etc
Verify the Traction Power & OHLE Material Proposal Schedule activities & Compliance Matrices
Support with quality training for personnel for staff with specific quality responsibilities
Support the installation teams in dealing rapidly and effectively with quality non-conformities and complaints identified
Raise & report site non-conformity when identified and support the team to effective corrective, preventive actions & Root Cause Analysis in line with the NCR procedure
Report and communication quality performance in meeting targets and continuous improvement
Assist in the production of quality management system documents & records
Assist in maintaining the ATC QMS (the Contract Quality Plan and related plans, controls, procedures, tools and guidance) in conformance to ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 10005:2005
Prepare and attend any onsite or offsite meetings required to fulfil the role
Deputising for the Quality Manager when required
Maintain Client Liaison

Professionally qualified Traction Power & OHLE Engineer or recognised industry technical qualification relevant to the system specialisation
Root Cause Analysis/Lessons Learnt
Knowledge / Experience
Experience in managing delivery of Subcontractors
Experience in face-to-face client contact
Strong Microsoft/IT literacy
