BRIEF SCOPE OF JOB: |
To work with the JCI / Tyco & Life Safety TC personnel globally, to support the effective operation of International Trade Control and processes, having an awareness of regulatory compliance in relation to business activities involving exports and imports. Such activities include but are not limited to US, UK and EMEA regulatory compliance. Candidates should have a desire and passion to build a career in International Trade Compliance and be customer focussed.
Manage import entry audits including but not limited to ensuring the correctness of tariff classification, origin, valuation, consignee business details duties quantities and address customs queries.
Support the team with internal audits of export documentation for various LSP facilities. Remain current on changes and updates to US export regulations
Provide statistical analysis on various reporting requirements and manage / monitor broker services.
Support the visitor process in and Restricted Party Screening
Work with customers and Sales to support and provide guidance on TC process.
Support trade compliance record keeping and ensure documents are filed correctly and available for audit in a timely manner.
Maintain the compliance origin database for free trade agreements.
Provide backup support during holidays and absence
Carry out any task reasonably requested by senior management
Experience in international trade would be an advantage including but not limited to shipping, controlled products (military and dual use), International Inco Terms, product classification, origin, Waypoint (R&D support)
Experience of both UK compliance (import and export) and US compliance (ITAR and EAR) is desirable
Experience of BAAN ERP is would be beneficial.
The suitable candidate ideally would be educated to degree standard and / or able to demonstrate experience, understanding of the subject area.
