About the Business Line
AECOM's Global Support Services (GSS) organization resides within AECOM's Government business line and is comprised of three divisions - International Development, Operations and Mission Support, and Global Programs. GSS has the international presence, personnel networks and procurement infrastructure to deliver support for any mission, anywhere. We optimize the reliability, availability and sustainability of equipment, logistics systems and facilities for clients around the world. Job Summary
AECOM has an exciting opportunity in Afghanistan on the MOSC-a contract for a Supervisor SASC. The Supervisor supervises a professional team encompassing a wide range of functions within the discipline: Interviews, selects and places candidates into open positions. Evaluates staff, comparing objectives and achievements in the assessment. Coaches employees in their professional career development and process improvements. Issues discipline whenever required. Recommends termination or contract non-renewal when appropriate. Conducts weekly meetings with subordinates to review the status of operational requirements and other matters that pertain to the Performance Work Statement (PWS). Constantly monitors repair activities to ensure all procedures are performed safely. Constantly monitors all repair activities to ensure maintenance procedures
are followed in accordance with current technical manuals. Ensure accuracy of customer paperwork. Process customer paperwork dealing with weapons exchanges. Communicate with superiors about any issues that may arise. Accountable for all government and company property that is required, received, stored, and used Ensure strict compliance to safety practices and support the AC FIRST Safety Policies and Procedures Instills a safety first mentality within respective work areas and a culture
that achieves low accident rates and minimal lost-time injuries. Adhere to ISO Policies, Procedures, and Work Instructions in support of the AC FIRST Quality Management System.12. Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Accredited Armament Repair Training required.
  • Secret Security Clearance, is required
  • 6 years' experience in Small Arms repair is required
  • Armament training for Armament repair, Military Occupational Specialty
  • 45K20/30 or USMC 2111/2112, Navy Gunners Mate or civilian equivalent, is
  • required.
  • Work experience may be substituted for educational requirements and/or
  • educational achievements may be substituted for years of experience.
  • Example: Two (2) years of experience is equivalent to (2) years of college
  • and vice versa.
  • Knowledge of Army Regulations and technical manuals.
  • Knowledge of Arms, Ammunition and Explosives Regulations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Power Point, Word and Outlook.
  • Able to manage a diverse work force
  • Able to communicate well with others, verbal and

Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 - 3 years supervisory experience preferred.
