Job Summary
AECOM is seeking INSURV Technical Support Coordinator in support of the Mid-Atlantic Regional Maintenance Center (MARMC), Norfolk, Virginia.

  1. Assist in coordinating INSURV inspections prior to the inspection scheduled start date to include verifying ship's INSURV visit schedules and tasking for approved inspections.
  2. Act as the technical POC between MARMC Code 200 technical codes and INSURV.
  3. Assist in tasking MARMC Code 200 technical codes for INSURV visits (MI, CT, AT, FCT, and ST), which includes but is not limited to, receiving/downloading schedules, receiving and reviewing the tasking matrix, sending e-mails with attachments, and preparing naval clearance messages.
  4. Assist in requesting support from other support providers (other RMCs, ISEA, Naval shipyards, etc.) as required.
  5. Act as the MARMC Visit Coordinator (VC) on board ships within MARMC's AOR. The VC is the primary MARMC point-of-contact during individual on board INSURV inspections for all administrative and technical issues regarding technical assistants.
  6. Attend the monthly INSURV meetings and provide meeting materials to Code 210 and 211 prior to those meetings.
  7. Perform all other position related duties as requested or assigned.

Minimum Requirements
  • Vocational/technical training beyond high school and at least 12 years of job-related experience or equivalent. Excellent communications and analytical skills; working knowledge of computer systems and integrated software application programs.
  • Ten (10) years' experience within the last 20 years in the operations, repair and maintenance of naval or marine propulsion machinery, electrical distribution or ordnance systems.
  • Four (4) years should have been in a position of team leader or coordinator over a subordinate work force involved in the physical maintenance and repair of US Navy mechanical, electrical or electronic equipment and systems. Experience in Supervising technical personnel in performance of operation, maintenance, modification and repair of shipboard mechanical, electrical, and electronic systems.
  • Four (4) years' experience within the last 10 years steam propulsion, diesel propulsion or gas turbine propulsion and ancillary equipment.
  • Two (2) years' experience in the administration of the Navy 3-M and supply systems or four (4)years' experience in auxiliary and deck machinery
  • Shall be familiar with the technical codes equipment requirements and task the codes thru the Engineering Department job tasking software
  • Shall be familiar with the INSURV financial data reporting tool and provide updates to the tool on a monthly basis utilizing expenditure data provided by code 600.
  • Position requires the ability to pass and maintain a Security Clearance - Active Security clearance preferred.
  • Capable of obtaining a Common Access Card

Preferred Qualifications
  • Surface Warfare Officer or Enlisted Surface Warfare qualified.
  • Engineering Officer of the Watch or Combat Systems Officer of the Watch.
  • Previous experience with INSURV as an assessor.
