For candidates who are actively seeking employment or considering making a change and would like free tips and advice on interviewing; resumes and much more. . .register at NA The Compounder is responsible for the cleaning, setting up and operation of manufacturing equipment as part of the process of compounding pharmaceutical creams, ointments and NA G.M.P. documents, such as the Batch Record, cleaning & sanitizing logs, housekeeping logs and other documents / log records pertaining to manufacturingFollow safety rules/regulations and report any workplace injuries or accidents. Assist when required to improve equipment safety related procedures. Wash and sanitize compounding rooms and vesselsCompounding batches as per SOP's and Master Formulas. Report discrepancies and deviations in a timely manner to compounding lead hand or supervisorDispense raw materials when requiredPerform accurate inventory transactions using BPCSMaintain a clean and organized working environment. Familiar with 5S processes and Lean Manufacturing ConceptsParticipate and assist with continuous improvement projects and processesWork safely and accurately with a focus on completing tasks and documentation right first timeAssist with the training of new compoundersPerform start-up and shutdown procedures for all vesselsMinor repairs to the facility and equipment where applicablePerform calibration checks for equipment (scales, mixers, pH meters) used in manufacturing as per predefine time periodsMay be required to assist Validation or Pharmaceutical Technology staff with new formulations and scale upsMay be required to assist with investigations where necessaryNotify compounding lead hand and mechanic in a timely manner if equipment parts and compounding consumables are low in quantityWill be required to perform other duties as assigned Requirements;Previous experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environmentPost Secondary education in scientific discipline is preferred or 5 years in a pharmaceutical environmentExcellent math skillsProficient in MS Word, Excel, Powerpoint and Lotus NotesExcellent verbal communication skills for interacting with personnel on a daily basisMust possess a good understanding of current G.M.P. requirementsMust possess the ability to function effectively in a team environmentMust be able to actively listen and receive coaching and applicable training **Career Connections Canada Inc. welcomes and encourages applications from people with disabilities.
