FIRST CANADA - BURNABY, BC New Westminster Operations Position - Shop Administrator Reporting to the General Manager of the First Transit Langley/New Westminster/TFN operation. · Ensures cleanliness and up to date maintenance of all bus equipment · Check and verify drivers daily schedules to ensure shift coverage · Collect all trip related information, sort and enter data into appropriate areas on computer system · Compile daily report to service providers and ensure buses are kept operational by liaising with service providers · Responsible for maintaining Lost Property processes according to Company policies · Probe fareboxes as required, replace supplies as needed and process farebox data as required · Visually inspect buses and report any obvious damage to Manager when working on buses · Listen and respond to operators on the 2 way radio system · Provide month end reporting for transit related data as well as additional data reports compiled from daily data as recorded · Compile data from other service providers such as taxi, tow trucks, missed trips, operator work and payroll data etc. · Create and circulate daily dispatch sheets and distribute as required · Ensure staff coverage per schedule, ensuring compliance with NSC rules. Responsible for filling shift vacancies in short notice situations. · Maintains all required records for fleet requirements including CVI, registrations and fuel cards · Ensure drivers supplies are up to date and sufficient for upcoming days · Prepare and/or deliver vehicles (not in service) for maintenance or road changes as required. · Light housekeeping in the office environment including removal of trash, stocking and cleaning washrooms as required, straightening up drivers area. · Ensure that office and drivers supplies including storage shed are reported to Manager for restocking · Other duties as assigned Qualifications and Experience: · Must possess and retain a clean Class 2 BC Drivers' license - air brakes not required at this time. · Canadian citizen or landed immigrant · Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook. · Must be able to carry out physical duties which may include lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling frequent climbing and descending, repetitive crouching or kneeing, and reaching. · Must be able to communicate well in written and spoken English.
