Hays are representing a prominent Co. Tyrone based construction & civil engineering contractor in the recruitment of a HSEQ Manager. This contractor has been established throughout the UK & Ireland for over 30 years and pride themselves on their history of delivering high quality services to both public & private sector clients. They have an established senior operational and commercial team and wish to add a Health & Safety professional to the management structure.
Your new role
Due to their success on winning contracts throughout the Northern Ireland you will have the opportunity to carry out audits identifying areas for improvement and reporting to the rest of the management team. As HSEQ Manager you will design and implement Safe Systems of Work and Safety plans where you will also advise on RAMS. Staff training and creating awareness will also be a significant part of this role maintaining all HSEQ matters are high on the companys agenda.
What you'll need to succeed
The company would like any new Health & Safety professional undertaking this role to have at least 5 years experience in a similar capacity and hold their NEBOSH certificate. Individuals coming from a building or civil engineering background who already have a working knowledge of all relevant regulations and associated legislation will be at a distinct advantage. The role will require the successful Health & Safety professional to communicate effectively at all levels, be IT proficient and work of your own initiative.
