Your key responsibilities will include undertaking and supervising contaminated land phase I desk studies, phase II intrusive site investigations, producing remedial design recommendations and technical report writing. You will also be involved in strategic and commercial work including client development and management, identifying work opportunities, bid writing and the development of existing junior consultants.
You will be a degree calibre candidate with appropriate qualifications in a geo-environmental related discipline such as geology, engineering geology, environmental science or physical geography. You should be well versed in contaminated land and remedial design work, as well as able to demonstrate extensive Phase I and Phase II investigation and remedial design/delivery experience. A thorough understanding of the geo-environmental, land contamination and remediation aspects of developments will be required. Previous experience of completing factual and interpretative preliminary risk assessments (desk based and intrusive assessment) and detailed quantitative assessments (DQRA) is very desirable. Knowledge of current and emerging environmental legislation will be a necessity and the ability to provide technical leadership/mentoring to less experienced staff will be pivotal to the success of the role.
