As a SQL Developer, you will lead the design and implementation of our data migration activities to a new pension platform. The role will involve both data manipulation and data migration (ETL, EAI). This is very much a "hands on" role delivering solutions to demanding stakeholders within challenging timescales

Key Accountabilities:
- Participating in data manipulation (using ETL and EAI requirements) to design and implement data structures which meet business requirements for timely, accurate data
- Liaising with system suppliers, end users and team members to gather requirements
- Acting as a SQL subject matter expert within the Projects & Change team, taking a lead on development projects and guiding more junior developers
- Creating field formats, layouts and Schema's
- Creating and populating new data tables in SQL Server, Access and Excel
- Documenting extract specifications
- Writing extract scripts and programs
- Defining and implementing cleansing strategies
- Defining the ETL strategy and processes
- Identifying opportunities to enrich and cleanse the existing client data using automation.

Key Candidate Requirements:
- Significant experience of data architecture (SQL with formal knowledge of data architecture techniques and models)
- Significant experience of data manipulation and data migration, and creation of ETL processes
- Experience of migration of financial systems/applications
- Proven experience of working within a large scale data migration project
- Experience in building data extracts
- Experience of SQL Server, SSIS and VBA and Excel
- Documenting requirements and data mapping
- Creating Schema's, tables and attributes
- Knowledge of pensions products, ideally SIPPs

Qualification Requirements:
- Degree in Computer Science or equivalent - Essential
- Certificate in financial planning (CF1)- Desirable Knowledge of pension products, ideally SIPPs - Desirable
- Experience of platform solutions- Desirable Knowledge of C# -Desireable
Selenium Webdriver - Desireable
