This is an opportunity for a motivated individual who enjoys hands-on work to design specialized cybersecurity solutions for Government and commercial customers. Responsibilities include designing and delivering engineering services to build and operate a National cybersecurity system which protects the Federal government from evolving cyber threats. This contract involves network security projects starting from design through to deployment and operations. This Systems Engineer position provides critical support in the areas of network applications design, configuration, and deployment assistance. This position provides Tier 3 support to the operations staff. Selected engineers work as part of a system design team to research emerging technologies to develop and deliver new solutions.
Selected candidates' must demonstrate the experience and skills to support the Cyber Mission across these skill areas: Network systems engineer specializing in Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
This position will be located in Columbia, Maryland and supports a commercial customer providing a service for the Federal Government.
• Active TS SCI clearance
• Must have a minimum of 8 years of work experience.
• Must have experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
• VMware ESXi experience.
• Working familiarity of Splunk.
• Strong working knowledge of DNS.
• Awareness and willingness to learn Postfix MTA.
• Puppet configuration management skills.
• YUM Repo / patch management skills.
• Scripting knowledge; i.e., Bourne, C-shell, python, etc.
• General awareness of networking concepts; i.e., subnetting, routing, vlans, TCP/IP, etc.
• RHCSA/RHCE certification.
• Database knowledge; e.g. mysql.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+, SSCP, etc.).
• Previously approved for DHS suitability.
BS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
