An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Aeronautical Engineer to work within Central Government on a contract basis. The position will be based in Bristol for an initial contract until Feb 2017 offering up to a maximum of £360 per day LTD.|
The primary role of the Hawk Type Airworthiness Authority (TAA) is to provide safe, airworthy and sustainable Hawk TMk1/1A and TMk2 aircraft to meet Customer agreed JBA requirements.
a. To deliver the agreed outputs within delegated resources, as detailed in Joint Business Agreements, the DE&S Business Plan and your letter of delegation (LOD).
b. Hawk Return to Green projects (e.g. embedding engineering/safety critical processes and Resolve; resolution of multi, residual Audit Corrective Actions and Service Inquiry actions; Reliability Centred Maintenance). Engineering input and performance management of 'bought out' supporting activity. Management of engineering, safety and airworthiness elements in EPM 2010 and risks in ARM.
c. Cost-Benefit Analysis. Reviewing all evidence underpinning cost-benefit analysis decisions on the basis of extended OSD in order to provide recommendations to the Duty Holder.
d. Reviewing all evidence underpinning cost-benefit analysis decisions on the basis of extended OSD in order to provide recommendations to the Duty Holder.
d. Airworthiness Strategy. Review TMk1 and TMk2 airworthiness strategies to satisfy MRP compliance and prepare for TAA signature.
e. Obsolescence Management of TMk2. Development of assurance airworthiness work previously conducted on export variant Mk165 in order to prepare Release to Service Recommendation evidence for components that have been identified as becoming obsolete.
f. RTS Clearance of Limited Evidence. Annual review leading to RTS recommendations. Development of engineering activity required to increase confidence
g. Hazard sentencing for Hawk TMk1/2 Safety Case reset. Co-ordination of all engineering, safety and airworthiness mitigations to Hazards identified by SQEP meetings (held every 6 weeks for 2 years) in order to be able to recommend Tolerable and ALARP to the Duty Holder. Scope covers all systems on Hawk.
h. Resilience and support to the Hawk Prj-Eng1 post for Engineering and airworthiness aspects of URD / SRD Development.
i. Support UKMFTS Quality through compliance to PT Processes, Work Instructions and Local Instructions, and by contributing to Continuous Improvement through active participation in audits and QMS documentation development.
