The successful Engineering Maintenance Manager will come from a strong managerial background, with a good technical knowledge of Mechanical and Electrical engineering, as well as manufacturing processes. You should have core qualifications in either Mechanical or Electrical engineering. My client is looking for a manager with experience in setting up TPM as well as implementing PPM systems. This role requires excellent organisational skills and time management skills. Above all else, it is imperative that you have excellent interpersonal and people management skills. Previous experience in up-skilling staff would be a beneficial.
As the Engineering Maintenance Manager you will be responsible for a tightly knit team of approximately of 15 direct reports a mixture of maintenance engineers and support staff. You will be responsible for the day to day running of the engineering department. Prioritising workloads, ensuring the team are well equipped and have spares for breakdowns as well as organising planned maintenance. My Client is looking for someone who would be able to implement Total Planned Maintenance (TPM). You will be working closely to the engineers to help their development using up-skilling techniques and methods, however, this is a management role and it is important that you are able to manage results through your team, rather than fire fighting. You should be an inspired leader, who practices comradery throughout your workforce.
