A new opportunity has become available with my client who require a Sales Engineer to join their team. The role's purpose is to accelerate sales revenue growth in the key strategic areas including UK, Europe and Asia. The ideal candidate will have a technical background selling PLC's, data loggers, HMI's and software as well as developing an international market with a proven track record in growing distribution routes to market. |
The successful Sales Engineer will be home based and report to the Product Manager. Responsible for providing support to existing distributors and identify/acquire new distributors. Acquiring and developing strategic key accounts throughout the regions.
Develop cost effective marketing proposals to increase revenue. Pricing strategies in conjunction with the Product Manager. Provide a high quality customer experience through;
product support, product demonstrations, training, exhibitions and seminars where appropriate
and vessel surveys when required. You will also ensure management and traceability of quotes issued to customers, leads passed to channel partners. Monthly reporting on progress on objectives and KPI's and include detailed feedback from the region.
Extensive International travel 60%
Develop direct business with key accounts and international market with a proven track record in growing distribution routes to market.
Technical background / sales experience is required. (Marine knowledge desirable but not essential).
Background in selling PLC's, dataloggers, HMI's and software is essential.
Ability to make robust commercial decisions.
Lead management and appropriate lead management techniques for each channel.
Proficient user of MS Office applications.
Confident and accomplished presentation skills with experience of presenting to a large multinational audience from Technical Managers to Senior Directors.
Experience training distributors and re-sellers.
Problem solving attitude and willingness to continuously improve.
International language skills desirable but not essential.
Speak fluent English.
