It operates exclusively in Europe with its UK headquarters based in Runcorn, Cheshire, from which they support the local business activities across a UK network of 14 distribution depots, over 500 retail community pharmacies and over 6,000 + staff nationwide.
Due to an enhanced level of automation in our Runcorn Depot we are looking to recruit an enthusiastic and committed experienced Warehouse Technician who can deliver a challenging agenda across a three shift operation between 06:00 and 02:00. The ideal candidate should have a broad based Electrical / Mechanical Engineering background with relevant qualifications for the role.
Reporting to the Quality and Efficiency Manager and the Central Technical Development Manager, you will be responsible for Planned preventative maintenance, breakdown cover and Defect repair on all aspects of this state of the art facility as well as building service plant.
This will include maintaining high volume picking and packing machinery, assisting in the supervision and control of all mechanical or electrical operations, maintaining and contributing to the various building service contracts and generating paperwork to keep up to date records of all maintenance work and spares all in line with health and safety legislation.
Due diligence and attention to detail are essential for this position. You must also demonstrate your ability to work independently and remain highly motivated in the role.
The shifts will be on a weekly rotating shifts with alternating Sundays . You will need to be very flexible in your approach to your working hours. You must also have a full driving licence for use in the UK as this role will require you to occasionally technically support other depots.
The shifts are as follows:
Monday to Friday
10.00am - 6.00pm / 6.00pm - 2am on weekly rotation with 1 in 4 Sundays 8am - 12noon.
