OLE Pre-Construction Engineer/Construction Manager - Railway Industry
£500 per day on a long term contract
OLE Pre-Construction Engineer/Construction Manager required to manage the construction team fabricating new Overhead Line Steel work and associated Civils in a depot before it is shipped to site for installation. Experience of Steel Civil Structures is a must.

You MUST HAVE OLEC 4 or OLEC 5 and/or be Degree Educated and possess all relevant UK Railway tickets. Obviously extensive experience of installing Overhead lines is a must.
As a highly experienced OLE Engineer/Construction Manager you will be expected to lead by example. Your job will be to assist the Senior Construction Manager to deliver the project on time, within budget and to all specifications. You will also be expected to assist with the production of the delivery programme and manage materials as well as other resources.
You MUST have/be able to
Prepare method statements and briefing notes as required
Check designs prior to fabrication (Constructibility Review) and where issues are identified, propose changes of components to CRE
Check revisions of assembly and component drawings and update where required.
Ensure revisions to drawings are incorporated
Ensure all construction alerts in relation to design drawings are addressed and updated.
Assist fabrication teams on daily basis in dealing with any issues.
Check BOQs in relation to designs and material orders.
Attend various meetings as required .
Give OLE technical support and advice to all materials staff and mentor when required.
There would be a week or so handover period with the existing Engineer, who is moving onto another project, so would be available for advice and guidance during the early days of the contract.
To be considered for this role you MUST have a minimum of OLEC 4 and have documented experience of delivery of OLE installations. Your skills will be well known within the OLE industry and your reputation will be impeccable.
A competitive daily rate of £500 per day is on offer with the work expected to last up to 2 years.
