Excellent opportunity to join leading provider of test and measurement solutions for the worldwide power electronics industry as a Customer Support Engineer to join their UK facility located near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

As a Customer Support Engineer you will be required to:

Keep all customers under active management
Answer incoming customer questions
Understand the customers market segment, their use of our products, and level of satisfaction with our products
Assist any potential new customers to understand the scope and benefits of our solutions, and to provide any requested information (e.g. quotes for product, technical documentation or worked test examples etc..)
Follow up quotes with the customer to ensure they are as required, to maintain contact and understanding of the customers needs.
Acknowledge orders to customers + Keeping customers up to date on any delivery changes
Understanding the nature of customers more technical questions and ensuring that the appropriate member of the internal technical support network provides the requested support as detailed in the support process procedures
Follow up with each customer after each support question is answered to ensure the customer has received the information required
Provide reports on agreed sales activities and business levels to the Management team as required
Contribute to the general wellbeing of customers and raising their profile within the company
Ensure all customer service orders are delivered on time to the highest possible quality
Diagnose, repair and calibrate products to meet customer requirements
Suggest Improvements to existing processes, equipment and procedures to improve cost effectiveness and quality of service for customers.

To be considered for the Customer Support Engineer role you will need to:

Be enthusiastic - wants to understand customers and what their needs are
Possess a confident attitude and a willingness to develop
Be not afraid of technical terms when talking to customers - willing to develop an understanding of customer requirements and how products can 'help' them
Be outgoing - a good telephone manner and written communication skills
Be organised - able to multi task
Have a suitable Engineering or related scientific degree/HNC
Have experience of providing Customer facing support - minimum of 2 years
Have worked within a company that provides actual technical products (not a service provider)
