You will have the following responsibilities:
• Responsible for troubleshooting and fault detection of both coach and locomotive electrical systems, sub-systems and components;
• Perform scheduled and progressive maintenance inspections and unscheduled designated repairs;
• Perform modifications from drawings, prints or wiring schematics on coaches and locomotives;
• Perform indoor and outdoor duties as required;
• Perform other related duties as assigned within the classification and lower.
Grade 12 or equivalent;
Electrical diploma from an accredited technical school or equivalent experience;
Skilled in troubleshooting techniques and a complete understanding of electrical testing equipment;
Familiarity with AC and DC power and control systems and HVAC systems;
Capable of reading and understanding electrical drawings and maintenance manuals;
Capable of using computers and computer control systems;
Must possess a valid Ontario driver's license;
Must prove capabilities through the successful completion of applicable test(s) and examination(s).
