Business Development Manager (BDM) Western Canada - Field (Must reside in Geographic Territory) POSITION SUMMARY: The Business Development Manager drives the bibliotheca Field Sales by driving lead generation, account management, and win new accounts. The Business Development Manager will be responsible for, but not limited to the following duties: Client Facing ResponsibilitiesFocus on Public Libraries and Academic Libraries in the NA lead generation and win new NA all product lines, Hardware, Software and Subscriptions and NA new products to all accounts in the NA in person with the 30 largest clients twice per year, minimum. Meet in person with the 25 largest prospective libraries in the territory at least once per year. Meet in person with other prospects and existing clients with sales opportunities as appropriate to achieve targets and keep them informed of company and product NA quotes and close opportunities in a timely manner, as defined by manager. Skills MasteryStrategic Selling - Understand the needs and strategic direction of all clients and prospects, develop relationships with key decision makers, and demonstrate the value of Bibliotheca solutions in terms of achieving defined library outcomes. Tactical Selling - Understand how the Bibliotheca products function; features and benefits; integrations; fit within a library's plans; and be able to articulate these NA Management - Effectively lead sales activities to new and existing customers. Communication and Internal Cooperation Partner with other team members on existing account NA the customer input, feedback, and demonstration/presentations for bids. Work cooperatively with manager and bid team to provide content details for responses. Work cooperatively and leverage specialist[SH1] s[DN2] to drive business closure. Attend and participate in sales and company required calls and meetings. Communicate monthly, quarterly and annual target revenue to Sales Manager with suggested action plans to achieve objectives. Assist in helping cutomer with key requirements to be incorporated in RFPs. Actively utilize CRM for all opportunity management. Supervisory Responsibilities: N/A Travel Demands: Anticipated travel is approximately 60 - 75% in assigned territory, trade shows, etc. This includes 18+ in person meetings per month.
