JBS Food Canada ULC is one of the largest beef processors in Canada with the capacity to harvest more than 4,000 head of cattle per day at our Brooks, Alberta facility. We are currently recruiting a Business Analyst to join our Human Resources team at our facility in Brooks, Alberta. Note: This is a position to cover a one year maternity leave. This role will be located in Brooks, Alberta. Qualifications: Prior experience in unionized environment; Bachelorâ€™s degree required in related field; Strong analytical and problem solving skills with high attention to detail; Ability to think ahead and anticipate issues before they arise; Strong communication and influencing skills; 2-3 yearsâ€™ experience in meat processing or other manufacturing setting; Fluency in a second language is preferred; Self-directed, has initiative and a strong multi-tasking ability; Experience using QlikView and Microsoft Excel. Responsibilities: Support the development of projects by identifying and evaluating potential opportunities to improve; Perform/manage trend research projects and analysis to understand logistical and business nuances; Prepare presentations and proposals to senior management; Develop, plan and prepare day to day management of multiple projects, supporting/leading working teams and preparing updates for senior decision makers; Work with a high sense of urgency and the ability to swiftly and accurately respond to ad-hoc requests, while prioritizing to meet deadlines; Prepares and maintains records and procedures for controlling personnel transactions and reporting personnel data. Maintains HRIS integrity; Establishes, evaluates and maintains departmental reports and key indicators. Recommends new approaches, policies and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed; Responsible for internal company communication, including bulletin boards, company newsletter, etc.; Performs other duties as assigned.
