We are looking for a highly motivated individual interested in learning about the music and entertainment industries to join our team. Candidates must love music, social media and be enthusiastic and computer/internet savvy. As an intern, you would be an essential part of our team and have fun while learning a lot about the entertainment industry, assisting with both online and offline campaigns. Person should have experience with all social media networks (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Linkedin). We help new and established music artists create presence and results by creating a social impact across all platforms. Our artists range from rock to reggae to NA addition to managing social media, this position will also assist with general office tasks including (but not limited to) preparing and shipping new release material, metadata tagging and helping register music with SOCAN, Connect Music NA will include Hootsuite University course and certification. Hootsuite's education and certification programs are developed by industry-leading experts and feature up-to-date resources to help you drive meaningful results on social media. Spanish, French a NA work ethic -Interest in marketing, promotions, social media, and developing technologiesGreat familiarity with social networking sitesAdvanced experience with all Office programsExperience with Adobe Photoshop and HTML a plus/preferred - Excellent writing skills The intern's responsibilities, with no order of importance/priority, are as follows:Curating and posting updates on all social network accountsUpdating the websiteTake responsibility for creating events on Client's Facebook (FB) page, in a timely manner respective of dates/times of gigs booked by Client, as well as tagging musicians and posting a comment on venue's FB pages to promote gigs booked by NA and post Weekly Gig Calendar on our Facebook pages, as well as on all additional FB pages, as indicated by Client;Facebook: take responsibility for creating events on Client's Facebook (FB) pages, in a timely manner respective of dates/times of gigs booked by Client, as well as tagging musicians and posting a comment on venue's FB pages as well as on the artist's FB page to promote gigs booked by Client;When requested, Intern will be responsible for tweeting about bands/musicians' gigs on ourTwitter NA an up-to-date gig calendar (Bands In Town), as indicated by Client.
