Friendly civil & structural engineering consultancy is seeking an experienced structural engineer. Their office is based in Chelmsford and is a 15 minute walk from the station. The position is ideally permanent but contract applications will also be happily considered. |
They are a successful and ambitious practice that has been established for over 20 years. They are looking to take on an enthusiastic and experienced designer who has the potential to grow with the business. The role will suit someone proficient in the design of all structural materials, innovative in their approach and able to work on their own initiative.
You should have a varied experienced with all major materials (concrete, steel, timber and masonry). This role is ideally suited to a candidate who is nearing CEng status (MICE or MIStructE) and you should have experience in commercial, residential, industrial, domestic and retail projects (both in new build and refit).
You should have a working knowledge of Finite Element Analysis packages and CAD skills would advantageous. You should enjoy working with experienced designers and technicians in a friendly team environment. The position offers the opportunity to a higher level management roll and could lead to associate director status in future for the right person.
