Mechanical Construction Manager

Our Client:

My Client has been established for over 100 years and is recognised as one of the top construction contracting firms within the UK. Over the past 3 years my client has acquired a number of businesses throughout the UK and therefore had a long integration period establishing a solid platform to boost profits throughout 2015 and the future. With this now complete they have recently won some major national contracts that have meant they need to really increase their headcount to fulfil the new contract requirements. This is an exciting time for the company that are looking to significantly grow moving into 2017.

The Role:

* Manage the building services design and installation process to meet the agreed programme
* Work closely with the project manager, design manager and commercial team and provide support to site management in relation to coordination of M&E installations
* Ensure high standards of health and safety, safe by design, quality and customer satisfactory
* Maintain awareness of current health and safety requirements and changes
* Ensure effective communication to all parties
* Influence and support teams to innovate and achieve optimum solutions
* Offer solutions to site-related difficulties
* Continually review suppliers' performance and share information
* Facilitate and lead building services design and progress meetings and workshops.

The Candidate

* Full understanding of detailed M&E procedures
* Must have hospital project experience
* Ability to produce M&E design, installation and commissioning programmes, plan and prioritise daily diary, to ensure all targets are met
* Good attention to detail with the ability to work to challenging deadlines
* Ability to recognise and record change
* Ability to work as part of a team on site in some cases or be self-motivated and work in isolation of other team members in other cases
