ENGIE are recruiting for a Mobile Boiler Technician to be based in Boston. This is a permanent full time role working 40 hours per week. On offer is a competitive. The role holder will report to the Operations Manager.|
The role holder will operate, maintain and rectify all plant and equipment on Site / Cluster in line with PPM System using appropriate engineering procedures and ensuring that all SHEQ, Customer and Engie standards are maintained at all times.
Main Responsibilities / Duties Include
Health & Safety
To work to all ENGIE's and The Customer's, rules and procedures, giving particular emphasis to Health Safety Security & Environmental management. This includes regulations on waste, the environment and COSHH.
Specific to this post
To service and maintain boilers fired by LPG fuel on multiple sites. Maintenance and servicing is required too for biomass pellet boilers. Plus operate, maintain and rectify all mechanical plant and equipment including distribution systems on site. Also to work with and assist all other members of the team to ensure flexibility to meet the needs of both Engie and the Customer.
To ensure that the Operations Manager / Senior Technician is kept fully informed of all aspects of safety performance, plant performance and customer circumstances which may impact upon the safe, efficient, reliable and cost effective operation of the plant and smooth operation of the contract.
The applicant will be required to be part of an on call rota.
To maintain a good working relationship with the customer representatives and work in a manner that ensures that all aspects of the service agreement between Engie and the customer are delivered with the requisite levels of professionalism
To ensure that the company procedures and standards as expressed in the Company Handbooks are adhered to.
To represent the Company well to customers and external agency's, by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
To complete all administrative functions correctly and efficiently, either paper log books or by using appropriate IT software, e.g. Maintenance Management System (SAM).
To become fully familiar with all Company and site procedures, which affect him and carry out all responsibilities detailed in the Integrated Company Management System (iCMS).
To represent the Company well to customers and external agencies, by reasonable dress and demeanour and ensure the site and all Company property are maintained in a clean and tidy condition.
Trade qualification in a relevant engineering discipline - required
Gas Safe Registered for LPG - Essential
IOSH Certificate - desirable
Biomass boiler experience - desirable
Steam boiler experience BOAS - desirable
