This established Civil and Structural Engineering Consultant is structured into separate design teams of twenty to thirty technical staff under the control of a Partner, who is assisted by Technical Directors, Technical Managers, and Project Structural and Civil Design Engineers.

Due to healthy forward workload, the company are currently looking to appoint a Civil/ Structural Engineering Technician to join the Birmingham office. The successful candidates will have an opportunity to work on a variety of projects and across both disciplines.
Provide AutoCAD drawings under the guidance of engineers and with support from a Senior CAD technician.
Develop experience on Revit and contribute to integrated BIM models for projects including structural work in steel, concrete, masonry, timber as well as civil engineering layouts and details for drainage and highways.
Liaise with other members of staff.
A qualification in a relevant Civil Engineering course advantageous but will consider alternatives with a willingness to learn.
Some experience in the use of AutoCAD essential.
Experience with Revit an advantage or willingness to learn.
Experience of working in a civil or structural engineering environment an advantage or an interest in such disciplines
Good communication and numerical skills
Motivated, flexible and enthusiastic approach to working within a team
