My client is a National Civil Engineering Contractor with a turnover of circa £100M
The sectors that they are presently involved in include;
River & Marine
Water & Waste
Power & Energy
You will be responsible for managing Civil Engineering Projects from planning stage through to final accounts. Responsibilities will include site supervision, health & safety management, supervising labour, producing method statements and risk assessments, site cost/value control, programming, commercial reporting, client liaison, organizing plant & materials and you will be responsible for all correspondence and record keeping in accordance with company procedures.
Current Project Involvement
Shepperton - £13m waste to energy facility
Upnor - £1.5m road and infrastructure into residential development
Sittingbourne - £8.5m steel framed shed and storage areas/car parks
Bewbush (Horsham) - £2m road and infrastructure into residential development
Anticipated project involvement
Maidstone - £1m road and infrastructure into residential dvpt
Isle of Sheppey - £3m access bridge across highway for Peel Ports
Gatwick framework - low complexity civils - based in airport - 5yr framework
You are likely to have an Engineering background and are likely to have obtained a minimum of a HNC in Civil Engineering. You may currently be working as a Site Agent for a Civil Engineering Contractor or you may be a Senior Engineer or a Sub-Agent who is looking for the opportunity to move your career forward. Either way, it is vital that you possess excellent people management skills and have the drive and enthusiasm to manage a project through to completion, within budget and program.
