Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician|

Salary: £25,000 per Annum + Overtime
Hours: 08:00 - 17:00 (1 hour lunch break)
In the role as a multi-skilled maintenance technician you will be responsible for both mechanical and electrical works consisting of the planned and reactive maintenance of the factory machinery and building, including Injection moulding machines, robots (3 and 6 axis), conveyors, tooling and ancillary plant equipment.
Experience of working with 3 phase electrical systems is a must, along with process control systems and PLC's.
Mechanically, experience with pneumatics and hydraulics are required.
You will need to be multi-skilled with a relevant electrical qualification, have completed a recognised apprenticeship gaining a minimum of HNC or equivalent qualification in electrical engineering.
A high standard of electrical knowledge will be required for this position to support the current engineering team.
Qualification to 17th Edition Regulations is essential.
The successful candidate will ideally have previous experience within either an injection moulding or plastics environment.
Various challenges will be experienced on a daily basis in the busy production environment, so self motivation and determination to succeed are key. And as such the passion and ability to work alone as well as within a cohesive, multi-disciplinary engineering team environment are essential.
The ability to quickly learn and understand new equipment and processes will be indispensable.
⦁ Ensure all items of plant and machinery are running efficiently and safety through both electrical and mechanical maintenance.
⦁ Carry out fault diagnosis (electrical & mechanical) and repairs.
⦁ Understanding of route cause analysis and application of preventative fault reoccurrence strategies to increase plant availability.
⦁ Complete PPM (Planned Preventative Maintenance).
⦁ Undertake tooling changes and setups on machines.
⦁ Optimise machinery availability to meet all operational demands.
⦁ Be accountable for providing a fast and effective response time to any breakdowns that occur, provide routine service maintenance across the site whilst ensuring all the company procedures and standards are followed.
⦁ Work in a safe, methodical and ethical way to uphold statutory requirements and company policies.
⦁ Flexibility and reliability are pre-requisites for this role
