Salary: £30,000 to £35,000

Working Hours: 08.30 to 17.00 Monday to Thursday, and 08.30 to 14.00 on Friday.

Role & Responsibilities
The Quality Engineer / Senior Quality Engineer will be responsible for defining and implementing and managing the day-to-day working of the quality systems and procedures to ensure full compliance to the appropriate standards (ISO13485, 9001, 14001, BRC / IoP Packaging for Food

You will ensure that the finished products are quality assured to meet specifications and quality standards.

Management of team resource to ensure compliance with the Quality and Environmental Management Systems (QMS / EMS), as well as responsibility for site H&S

Hosting of client / 3rd party audits, and managing any non-conformances to satisfactory outcome

Quality input for NPD/NPI projects

Conducting staff training in quality system process and good documentation practice

Monitor/establish root cause analysis of both internal and external non-conformances

Carry out procedural reviews to ensure most effective processes are adopted

Assist with any Quality related issues and reasonable management requests

Ensure that the quality team is trained and operates to a high standard and will monitor the team's performance and coach/train where appropriate

Experience & Knowledge:
Significant experience gained within a similar industry, working at Quality Manager level at a minimum
ISO 13485 (significant), ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC Packaging
In depth knowledge of QM toolbox (SPC, FMEA etc)
Knowledge of medical device standards (ISO 13485, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, BRC Packaging Issue 5
Trained systems auditor
Preferably trained in Risk Assessment practice
Experience in working with multi-disciplinary teams, managing stakeholder expectations
Strong analytical/problem solving skills
Good communication skills (written & verbal) & strong presentation skills
Budgeting, time planning & risk management
Clean driving license
