I'm currently recruiting for CNC Turner who can set, operate and programme for a client in central Leicestershire. My client is a specialist within the Automotive sector.

You'll be responsibole for operating, setting & programming machines, efficiently, ensuring the company's product lines (components) conform to quality standards & in accordance with the specified Engineering Drawing, whilst maintaining daily production targets.


1 Able to effectively & efficiently enter programs, make adjustments & write programs from scratch as agreed with Management
2 Lays out & verifies dimensions of parts, using precision measuring & marking instruments with knowledge of trigonometry
3 Confers with Engineering, Supervisory & Manufacturing Personnel to exchange technical information
4 Operates & sets machines to ensure components are produced to exact specification
5 Able to perform off-sets on numerous machines within the facility
6 Ability to change set-ups & make adjustments on all machines in cell
7 Good understanding of all processes
8 Operate machines from cold starts
9 Measure components during the process to detect defects and if not then remove from process
10 Ensure all components conform to drawing specifications
11 Excellent interpretation of Engineering drawings
12 Accurately follow instructions both written & verbal
13 Correctly & accurately use handheld measuring equipment & check first off's in CMM cell.
14 Ability to Identify all quality issues & inform appropriate person
15 Complete TPM in accordance with the agreed schedule
16 Hit daily production targets
17 Keep machine / work station tidy and free from all slips, trips and falls and other potential hazards
18 Work safely and abide by company Health & Safety Rules at all times
19 To act professionally in accordance with company policies and procedures as laid down in the Employees Handbook at all times
20 Develop and maintain effective communication links with fellow colleagues to ensure the above.
21 Undertake additional training and other relevant duties as required.
22 To work at other sites as and when required


Experience of setting & Programming on similar machines

Previously worked in high a volume production facility

Can demonstrate accurate approach to work

Excellent understanding of English & Mathematics

Must have excellent understanding & interpretation of engineering drawings


To work effectively and efficiently in a dynamic working environment with competing demands and tight deadlines.
