We are representing a multi-disciplined engineering practice with a wide variety of projects and sector interests ranging from Education, Retail, Healthcare, Leisure and Commercial. This consultancy have a reputation for innovative design, backed up with strong delivery which underpins their ability to create long-standing relationships with their clients, who include some of the most famous companies in the world. .
Their Kent based Building Services team are looking for an Associate Electrical Design Engineer to lead their Electrical department, with the help of the Building Services Director in Kent. This is a fantastic role for someone to develop and grow this team to how you see fit and make it something of your own. The current electrical team is 6 strong with plans to grow to up to 10 over the next 18 months.
* To contribute to the development and growth of the company by identifying new opportunities and potential areas for growth and also maintaining and developing existing client relationships. Please note this is not a business development role.
* Monitor and take responsibility for the profit and loss within the working team. Manage a multi-disciplinary design team to ensure successful preparation and delivery on project objectives, including providing technical support.
* Manage the training, development, appraisals and succession planning of staff within the team.
* Compile specifications, drawings and relevant Contract documents and maintain the required technical quality of work, ensuring that designs comply with the relevant Codes, Standards, Regulations and Procedures.
To apply, candidates must be degree qualified in building services design with an electrical orient, chartered, and be in possession of a minimum of 10 years + experience operating within a successful engineering consultancy. You will possess proven ability within a client facing role with experience in the management of projects from initial brief development through the design process and completion
