Office Clerk / Engineering Clerk
My client, a long established engineering/manufacturing organisation are seeking an office clerk to join the engineering team.
•Using the engineering job packs to create new items & assemblies in the Syteline ERP system, ensuring accuracy is maintained.
•Creating and adding BOMs, standard manufacturing routings and standard costs to the newly created items.
•Filing and maintaining PDF drawings on the server locations for use by operations.
•Check completed work for accuracy and scan documents into document management systems.
•Update engineering job log on Excel to ensure workflow is maintained.
•Working with the engineering and operations teams, play an active role in continuous improvement projects and updates to the ERP system.
•Maintain, update and create Standard Operating Procedures for the role.
•Working with the engineers, help to rectify any technical drawing issues.
•Answering phone and email queries from operations.
To be successful in this role, you should ideally be able to demonstrate:
•Experience of using Syteline (not essentials) or similar ERP/MRP systems.
•Knowledge and understanding of the Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel).
•Previous experience of administration work in a busy team environment.
•Good written and verbal communication skills.
•CSE/GCSE Maths and English, grade C or above.
•Have some experience being able to read/interpret manufacturing drawings.
•Be able to work in a methodical manner and have an excellent eye for detail.
•Enjoy working as part of a team in a busy engineering office.
•Be enthusiastic and hard working.
•25-30 hours per week Mon - Fri between the hours of 8:00am to 5:00pm. Actual working hours to be discussed and fixed with the successful candidate.
The role offers an hourly rate circa £9.00-£10.00 negotiable depending on experience
