We have an exciting opportunities within our Desktop Product Development team for a C++ Desktop Developer based in our central London offices.
About the Desktop team:
The team is a motivated and open minded team, with 3 millions users on the platform. We work on the flagship product of the company and play a critical role helping researchers easily organize papers, read & annotate PDFs, collaborate in private or open groups, and securely access research from everywhere. You will be exposed to an end to end development lifecycle including: product ideas, specifications, architecture, development, testing, integration, release, build system and so much more
You going to need passion and lots of it! Really care about the quality of the software you build and ready to join a fast moving agile team.
In addition you will;
Solid computer science fundamentals (data structures, algorithms etc.)
Good knowledge of C++
Experience with app development for a desktop or mobile platform
Familiarity with Unix-like systems and tools
Good verbal and written communication skills
Comfortable with modern development tools for source control (eg. Git), continuous integration (eg. Jenkins), bug tracking etc.
Any experience with the following tech would be a big bonus;
Experience building a large application using Qt or another modern UI framework, such as Cocoa, WPF etc
Experience with cross-platform development for Windows, Mac, Linux or mobile platforms
Experience with modern web technologies and frameworks
Participation in open source projects and experience contributing improvements upstream
Experience with designing and consuming modern RESTful web services/APIs
