My client is a forward thinking local authority looking to add a new 2nd line support adviser to add to their team. You will be comfortable working in desktop environments, devices and if you have experience in deployment this would be an advantage as they are rolling out a PC Refresh project where you would be part of the support during these activities.

Role Purpose

To provide a 2nd Line Support service (including Desktop, Laptops, Smartphones and Tablets) via the Device Support Team for all ICT queries from corporate customers.

Main Responsibilities

Taking ownership of incidents logged via the 1st Line Support team and Mobile queue

Dealing with day to day break-fix issues

Configuring Smartphones and Tablets to use with Google Mail

Deliver/install desktops and laptops to offices across County

Carry out routine monitoring, logging and reporting tasks, taking defined action where appropriate

Provide advice and resolving IT issues where possible and escalating unresolved calls where necessary

Liaise with 3rd parties companies on behalf of our customers

Assist users to make more effective use of desktop systems, products and services, making detailed diagnosis of problems and advising known solutions where applicable
