We are building a pool of "best in class" Senior Structural Engineer (Offshore) candidates for future work on our potential projects in the Houston area.
Duties and Responsibilities
Within the Structural Engineering group performs conventional and complex engineering, design, analysis or other technical tasks utilizing current technology and available standards, templates and cataloged products with minimal supervision. May perform in a technical leadership role supervising, coordinating and directing others in the production of customer-focused products and services that meet established project requirements. Implements the Company Procedures Manual while seeking improvements to work processes and design approaches.
Recognized engineer within the Structural Engineering group, uses best practices to solve functional issues and improve programs and/or processes in support of organizational business challenges. Enforce Technical competency in adherence to Corporate, local, regulatory codes and standards, adherence to engineering laws and guidelines. Independently works through individual projects and/or plays a key role in broader projects, able to resolve inter-discipline, vendor, and client issues with minimal support. Relies on systemic thinking and understanding of broader organizational implications of the work being performed to solve problems. Mentor subordinates.
Experience and Qualifications
BS or MS in Structural Engineering. Thorough knowledge of applicable theories, practices, and accepted office procedures.
Typically minimum of 10 years
Special Job Requirements
Registered Professional engineer preferred.
Past experience in "lightweight topsides" is essential and there is a strong preference for previous experience in the following project facilities:
