The Production Control Coordinator will work within the production support organization supporting the company and the program(s) to achieve their production and shipping schedule.|
The PCC be responsible for monitor the arrival of material according to the production schedule at UTC Aerospace. The PCC will be the link between supply chain procurement (buyers) and production control in Mexicali, will support logistics department to solve suppliers' documentation issues, monitor the past due orders with the suppliers and assign priorities according to their impact to the operation. the PCC will also support the scheduling of material pick up with the suppliers working hand to hand with the buyers team, will coordinate the expedited requirements with the buyers and suppliers and work with the ME team members to correct the BOM qty or technical information that the suppliers need to manufacture and prepare the raw material (Units of measure, qty per unit, specifications, etc.).
The selected candidate must embrace and use the tools of Lean Manufacturing / Continuous Improvement on a sustained basis in order to manage areas of responsibility while monitoring system health measures daily and taking the lead to correct issues in a timely manner that ensures complete resolution. He or She will also be responsible for coordinating expedited delivery of customer impacts, or potential customer impacts.
He or She will also be required to partner with other team members in supporting continuous improvement (CI) activities, such as reducing working capital, and generating production controls through the value added processes.
English Required = Bilingual (>=90%)
Requires a Bachelor's degree and with a minimum of 3+ years of experience working in production planning, planner-buyer, MPS or production control areas.
Experience working in a fast paced detailed parts manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication environment is ideal.
Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing including working in an environment that embraces the daily use of lean tools is preferred.
Must demonstrate strong skills with MS Office applications and other company systems.
MRP/ERP System usage (SAP usage desirable).
Good communication and negotiations skills.
Must have the ability to enhance and support working in a team environment.
