WSP|Parsons Brinckerhoff is currently looking to hire a Field Engineer to work in the New York City, NY office. The Field Engineer (FE) is responsible to conduct field inspections of equipment and systems in buildings, document the findings, and report them to their direct supervisor. Other activities range from utilizing test equipment in order to verify proper system operation to providing direction and technical oversight on a number of diverse projects. The FE will be a valuable asset to support a Project Team which includes: Ownership, Engineer, Construction Managers, Contractors, & their own Commissioning Team Members.

Job Duties Include:

      • Commissioning Tasks
          • Conduct site visits and produce reports
          • Utilize test equipment
          • Read and understand project drawings
          • Provide updates to supervisor and project team
          • Organize & manage schedules
          • Perform energy calculations

      • Design Tasks
          • Assist with site surveys
          • Assist with creating one line drawings utilizing AutoCAD

      • Project Coordination
          • Review project schedules with project team members
          • Review and oversee project design and construction
          • Provide feedback to all team members
          • Manage time effectively
      • Participate in client and / or educational presentations as required
      • Any special projects as required

Job Requirements
Education Required:
      • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering field
Experience/Skills Required:
      • Must have a strong work ethic and an innate ability to learn
      • Strong communication skills (written & verbal)
      • Willingness to accept responsibility and solicit involvement from team members
      • Must be physically fit, capable of lifting at least 30 pounds, and have the ability to climb ladders
      • Must be organized and innovative
      • At least 1 year of related experience

The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
