General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate opening for a Submarine Logistics Fire Control Provisioner to join our team. General Dynamics Mission Systems employees work closely with esteemed clients to develop solutions that allow them to carry out high-stakes national security missions.

The selected candidate will work with collaborative teams to ensure the execution and continuous improvement of logistics processes for General Dynamics Mission Systems and its customers. Key Responsibilities
Submarine Logistics Fire Control Provisioners develop and administer integrated logistics strategies. As part of this role, these employees provide logistical support - including spare or replacement parts and supplies - to field organizations and to GDMS customers. To maximize sales and profit for the company and its customers, these Logistics Specialists ensure that customer service and time objectives are met within existing financial constraints. They also work to continuously improve the standard logistics processes used within the organization. This position will coordinate the procurement, receipt, and shipment of vendor procured material as well as government furnished equipment and associated logistics data. The primary focus of this position is to perform provisioning for Fire Control development programs.

Additional Responsibilities
  • Coordinate the completion or fulfillment of logistics data request or data inputs
  • Coordinate and track the completion or return of failed hardware
  • Track multi-program monthly production deliveries
  • Action and close problem reports and material requests
  • Work closely with the IPTs, Program Team and field sites for material related issues and concerns
  • Work with Manufacturing to expedite procurements, builds, etc based on critical shipyard needs
  • Process and drive closure to contractual deliveries
  • Exercise creative thinking and ideation to advance our business performance
  • Deliver innovative, flexible, integrated solutions to meet changing business needs
  • Support and engage in programs, projects and practices behind the GDMS culture and strategy, and comply with all policies and procedures
  • Follow industry and department trends and developments to ensure GDMS's services are consistent with, and/or superior to, industry best practices

Basic Qualifications:

Candidates should demonstrate a sophisticated understanding of logistics, as well as a desire and ability to improve the efficiency of General Dynamics Mission Systems logistical operations.

Submarine Logistics Fire Control Provisioners must have a minimum AA Degree and 4 years of experience, or a Bachelor's degree in Management, Operations, Industrial Engineering, or Supply Chain Management or a related specialty or the equivalent.

Department of Defense secret security clearance is preferred at time of hire. Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. Due to the nature of work performed within our facilities, U.S. citizenship is required.
