The Program
Here is your opportunity to work on the first ever high-speed rail program in the U.S. while growing your career on a groundbreaking project. The California High-Speed Rail program will connect the mega-regions of the state, contribute to economic development and a cleaner environment, create jobs and preserve agricultural and protected lands. By 2029, the system will run from San Francisco to the Los Angeles basin in under three hours at speeds of more than 200 miles per hour. The system will also extend to Sacramento and San Diego, totaling 800 miles with up to 24 stations.

The Role
The California High Speed Rail Authority has awarded WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff the Program Management role within the Rail Delivery Partners (RDP) program delivery team. As a result we have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Scheduler. This role reports to the Program Controls Manager for the entire program and is located in Sacramento, CA. It provides the opportunity for career development in a collaborative environment. The main duties of the Senior Scheduler are:

  • Provide planning, development, scheduling and maintenance of all time-location schedules
  • Provide all time-location reporting
  • Coordinate with Regional Project Controls Specialists for required time-location schedule reporting
  • Collate project-level schedule reporting to produce program-level time-location schedule reporting
  • Coordinate the alignment of the time-location schedules with the Master Program Schedule and project management information system
  • Coordinate the alignment of the Master Program with all RDP schedule reporting and/or alerting the Lead Planner of all misalignments with corresponding misalignment descriptions

    Job Requirements
    The Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management or a similar, relevant discipline
  • In-depth skills with Tilos and Primavera P6 with a particular focus time-location planning
  • At least seven years' experience in planning the design and construction of projects with a constructed value of at least $100M, preferably transportation infrastructure
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written including written reports and summaries, and presentations
  • Preference will be given to applicants with recent, prior experience working on major projects for the state of California or its agencies
  • The ability to work in the United States immediately is required, local candidates preferred EOE / Veteran / Disability / Gender (M-F) / Gender Identity / Sexual Orientation
